Manaiakalani - A Hook from Heaven: DFI Workshop - Friday 8th March
Summary
A productive day incorporating the theme of learn, create, share, focussing on computer skills and knowledge to enhance our searching, formatting and blog capabilities. Inclusive of images and tablets, that can be passed onto the boys and girls in Room 7, to generate visual graphics and text material.
Audio recording can help those learners who struggle to type on a device, lack confidence in their oral language or need assistance to annunciate their words. Hearing your own voice can help you to recognise where pauses and full stops should be, when reading aloud or holding a conversation.
Being paired with a colleague (new friend) made learning fun when we were given a sentence starter to complete.
I created a poster to share Room 7's learning experiences so far this year.
Kia ora Susan, thank you for the summary of your first DFI Session. I am glad that you made connections with the content and other cohort members. I'd love to hear about how using the Voice typing goes if you do use it with your learners in class!
ReplyDeleteThank you Gerhard for your comment. I am looking forward to sharing the Voice Typing function with my Year 3 / 4 boys and girls. Take care, Susan :)
